What to Expect
A Sunday Service
We hold a service every Sunday of the year. The service begins at 10:00 am with the sound of our church’s Paul Revere bell, rung by children in our Religious Education Program, with guidance by our Sexton. Dress is casual. Child care is provided for children less than 4 years old from mid-September to mid-June. During the summer months child care is not generally available.
Children are present for a portion of the service most Sundays; then they leave to attend their classes. Once per month the service is Intergenerational, and all children stay for the entire service.
After the service, which usually lasts one hour, all are invited to join us for Coffee Hour, held downstairs in our Vestry. This is a time to casually visit with friends we may not see during the week. There is a table set aside where children eat their treats. Most Sundays an activity is planned for them, while their parents visit.
During the summer months, the choir is not present and we do not hold Religious Education classes. However, some years we offer a special activity in July and August. These are usually activity-focused days with hands-on fun and games. Sometimes we’re joined by special guests and the youth will have an opportunity to see one another and reconnect before summer’s end.
